Well still going well and have lost 1.8 kg, commencing at 80.2 and weighing 78.4 today. Feeling heaps better and in control of hunger instead of it controlling me..........Have been out to cafes and just had a long black coffee if its outside my window with no temptation,
Eating a good diet , and no biscuits or cakes and just one square of 85%cocoa chocolate. Before if I had one biscuit I could eat a dozen.
I do have a large glass of red wine a day. Otherwise as healthy as possible, lots veggies , small amount fish. No meat as I am vegetarian apart from the fish.
Small amount of nuts but eating plenty. thanks for the comments Paul
Well this time I am sure fast 5 is the answer.
Last time I tried it a year ago I was pretty daft, I ate like crazy in the five hours as much as I would normally eat and it resulted in no weight loss and a unsettled stomach .
This time I am eating healthily. I noticed after day one I got constipated so I have made up a muesli with no sugar, lots oats, bran, psyllium, flax and chia seed, nuts and goji with a little organic raw cocao powder. I have this for my break fast and have a little rice milk and non fat yoghurt plus frozen blueberries and raspberries.
Later I have couple of slices of swiss cheese and 2-4 rice cakes.
I have a glass of red wine and a few mixed raw nuts.
I end my five hour period with a salad or steam vegies and canned salmon or tuna. More recently a healthy curry of vegies from the garden.
It sounds a lot but being male and quite tall I can eat 1800 to 2000 calories and still lose weight.
My weight is going down slowly but a little each day.
The only hard time is waiting for my window to open as I do get hungry but I know the hunger is doing me good.
I drink water but first thing in the morning I have about 700mls water with a fresh lemon squeezed in it. Later a black caro/coffee.
Feeling good so far. Paul

Hello I started Fast five three days ago and am eating from 13.45 to 18.45 and providing I don't try and cram a days food in the window I think its going to work well, as I eat all day normally and far too much resulting in a fatty liver etc. One thing I have noticed which surprised me is that my blood sugar in the morning is the usual fasting level expected but as I get more and more hungry during the period of reaching my window my blood sugar goes up. I am only drinking water and a cup of black coffee .I am not diabetic but have access to a bg monitor . Can anyone explain ?
Many thanks Paul
