[fast5] Re: Hit 60lbs weight loss milestone

Currently doing zero-carb. I find that at this point in my journey, any carbs give me incredible cravings so I tend to overeat and gain weight. I find too that even nuts and cheese make me REALLY crave more food- so they're out of the picture. Maybe at some point I can start adding back some vegetables but for now I'm doing really well with ZC.

But using a combination of low/zero carb combined with Fast-5 I've slowly been able to get down to my high school weight and EASILY keep it off. [fast5] Re: Hit 60lbs weight loss milestone

I have tried just about every combination of foods, timing, exercise, etc and what I've settled on is mostly zero-carb carnivorous diet. Fast-5 is one of those things that make you question everything you thought you knew about life in general. Once I realized that I didn't need to eat 3-5 meals a day, and I didn't need a post-workout recovery meal, and calories don't matter unless you eat carbs, I broke it down a bit at a time over time to find that if I eat a bowl of 1-2 lbs of fatty meat for dinner, I'm perfectly satiated, have plenty of energy, and stay nice and thin.

So basically what I do is eat my daily bowl of meat and about a tablespoon of cold pressed hemp seed or pumpkin seed oil per day for unprocessed and unheated O-3's and O-6's (check out Brian Peskin dot com).

For exercise, I usually go outside and walk in the city during my lunch hour and as I go, I try to get in 100-400 pushups a day.

That seems to do the trick. My wife thinks I'm nuts so I promised her I would go and have a physical when the scale gets to 159 and then call it good enough. I'm really curious to see what my lab work with show. I'll post it here when I find out. Still have a couple of pounds to go... ;)

Can we get some more detail on your routine? I'm looking for inspiration myself. What kind of workout/frequency? How much do you eat in the window? That kind of thing.

Thanks

Well done Rick, you look terrific. It's good to know I was of some help, however slight.  It's rather daunting to be a role model though - I've got to try to live up to it now!
