[fast5] Re: Need some advice

These are great suggestions. I have been on the fast-5  since Jan 21, and have been doing very well. I too, binged in the beginning and just recently actually just started feeling full after a meal.
A realization hit me one day, about 4 weeks in. And it may seem simple, but it's this: It's ok to be hungry during the day. I think I was so afraid of being  hungry I just overate during my window. I had to rethink it, and let myself feel the hunger pains and be ok with it. Also, I went and re-read the book, and that helped.
Enjoy a bit of candy, after you've had your dinner. But eat it slowly, savor it, and enjoy every last bit of it. Then take a moment and ask yourself if the second one will be any better. If you think so, go ahead and have some more. I'm still working on this myself and find I still tend to overeat, but I'm getting better, slowly but surely.
You've probably had bad eating habits for years, they won't change in a few weeks! Give yourself time, be patient, and let yourself know it's ok to binge. The hill doesn't get any higher, it's the same hill you need to climb, you just might have slid back a few steps.  I keep telling myself this and knowing that each day I'm getting healthier is good!
Don't beat yourself up, it takes time to replace bad habits with good. One thing I love about doing fast-5 is the ability to eat whatever you want in your window. You will not be able to consume as many calories as you did before this, I'm sure, so you will lose.  This is a slow and steady loss that takes time, a notion that is hard to swallow with all the fast, do it now, lose 20lbs in 3 days eating what you want diets out there. Just keep it up, do what you're doing, and it will get better!  Dont' get frustrated and give up, I have seen progress in myself, and there have been days I ate until my gut literally ached and I felt full the next day until my window. I still lost, and I have lost steadily, a pound a week!
Oh yeah, drink tons of water during the day. I get the zero calorie flavored pouches and drink those along with regular water during the day. If you drink a large amount 5 minutes before you eat, you won't be able to eat that much!
