[fast5] Tight pants ! Re: Success Stories

I am fitting into some of my old pants that I could not wear last year. There are still a couple pairs that don't fit yet. I have a couple more inches to go....

I have read that fitting into old pants is the best way to test weight loss, that weight can be misleading, but tight pants tell the real story...

I am down to 160 and have a goal of getting my waist a bit smaller. I am wearing size 34 pants and want to get into size 32 as my next goal. I also would like to see more definition in my body makeup (less fat). I lift weights to maintain the muscle.

[fast5] Re: Hot Flashes sure cooled down this List

Actually, Barnaby, when I started reading that YOU were down to an hour or so a day, I began to go in that direction. For the last week or so (except the last 2 days), I ate for about 2 hours, not a 5-hour window. Results are that I feel lighter, my energy is higher, I think I eat better, and I have absolutely no cravings outside that window.

The last two days have been tense, so I've been eating up to my window. Result is a weight gain, a general sense of flabbiness and I'm not happy with myself.

Back to the two-hour window!

[fast5] Energy and Other Effects of Fasting

Yes.. I am noticing all sort of GOOD EFFECTS, I have more energy, more brain power and less afraid to be honest with others.   Yea, look at that last one, I have no idea why I noticed that one, but in the last two days, I have noticed that not only can be honest, it is mostly in the realm of being honest about my mistakes without feeling sheepish or guilty..  Go Figure.

And yes, Baranby, my window is not set in steel.  Yesterday was 5:20, day before was 3:45 and so on..  for now, for myself, I really am not ready to start at noon and end a 5 and go through the evening thing.  But I have a feeling that down the road, it won’t matter TO ME when I break. So long as I east no more than 5 hours…

I personally am experiementing with the one hour a day window that I discussed in previous posts. This was day one, and it worked perfectly. I feel great, I find that I have a LOT more energy and I get a lot more done when I'm not eating all day. What about everyone else?

Told you so. Concentrate only on the FAST. If you fast 22 instead of 23 straight hours, you're still in great fasting state. You can "cheat" all the way down to 19 hours of fasting before you are really cheating.

The main success I have is mental/emotional.

It's not in your head, if the clothes fit better, you're losing FAT. That is what shows up before a scales. You could throw scales away.

Yes, I think we should learn to use foods and how to eat them as our "medicine". It's for sure that Government and Pharmaceuticals don't have our interests at heart.

Now I'm conscious of it, and I like the idea of thinking of it as a 22-hour fast. (I still need those 2 hours to eat in; can't quite make it on 1 yet.)

Yes, that's why I think the Fast-5 is a terrible name as it gets people thinking most about the EATING Window instead of concentrating on consecutive Fasting time.

If you go most days with a Fast-22, that's great. Too many think they have to eat over a period of 5 hours before they will start fasting. By not eating to the ragged edge of a 5 hour eating "window" you can vary your length of fast each day from 19 to 23 hours based upon feel.

> The good news is, we're planning a big Thanksgiving feast next week. I'm still attending Weight Watchers meetings (for the accountability), and of course everyone there is worried about Thanksgiving. I'm not -- I have no doubt it'll be easy to deal with during my window, and it'll be easy to avoid eating before and afterward.

> A rather delicate question -- I've had issues for years with bad reactions to antibiotics, specifically yeast infections, itching, etc. A female friend recently had to have antibiotics and got a yeast infection, which she says she cleared up very simply by eating NO SUGAR, NO FLOUR and NO DAIRY. Says she's also lost 9 pounds -- and because of medical issues, she cannot exercise at all.

Yes, I think there are equal benefits of where Fasting places your body with positive effects. Along with the Fasting, proper food selection is better than Pharmaceutical Drugs which saturate Evening "news". I heard Imus on this morning complaining to his co-anchor about his congestion, as I have heard him so many times. Suddenly, it struck me and I wish I could tell him positive benefits I have noticed with No Grain. His wife is a vegetarian kook and won't let him eat but a bit of fish. I imagine he is being pushed all kinds of Whole Grains. Dropping Multiple Grain Bread I would buy every week I noticed I started losing fat and Especially was able to breath so clearly it was astounding. I always thought I had allergies for years that would stuff me up.

I do however eat full-fat dairy. And since no problems ever with it, I keep fatty dairy in my diet. Replace Carbs with animal fat, Always.

I've been keeping sugar away but not making a big deal if I want to eat ice cream or pumpkin pie. I'm going to eat that next week for sure. Will probably eat a bunch of yummy dinner rolls with turkey, since it's just a once a year daal. Fructose is ESPECIALLY bad and belly fat started to return in the thirsty time of summer and drank fructosed soft drinks.

I found that Royal Crown Diet Cola uses Splenda, not the bad for you (Brain tumors) Aspartame found in far too many no-sugar products. And Sucralose/Splenda doesn't taste like that Aspartame crap that got it's start with Diet Coke.

I think proper fasting is good way to counter so many Government/Pharmaceutical lies. Low Insulin level is what we attain along when we avoid carbs as much as possible. Government brainwashing has certainly made people afraid of animal saturated fats but those are what you should eat to counter the missing carbs.

Be Rebelious, Think for Yourself and start reaping health benefits by reading Gary Taubes "Good Calories, Bad Caloris. Dr. Eades and the wealth of low carb, high fat, moderate protein with Barry Groves.

BTW, if you have to travel through an airport for Thanksgiving, don't let the TSA Screeners "Feel ya Up", Punch 'em like the guy at Indianapolis airport did this week. :-)
