HI all! I am just picking up intermittent fasting now after being resistant to it over the past 6 months. I have been eating Paleo for the past year, and although I had lost about 20-25 lbs before that, I hit a stall and was hoping Paleo would alleviate the stall- no such luck. I am hopeful that IFing will get me out of this stall.
I am 5'2", 144lbs, and 34 yrs old female- I am curious to hear from other females- what their experience has been like. I eat very few carbs- no grains, only carbs from veggies and some fruits. I intend to monitor my caloric intake- aiming to keep it around 1500. I exercise 2-3xs a week- hot yoga, walking, and some weight training. I might do a mix of a 24hr fast once in a while and eating in as small of a window (as low as 5 hours) that is comfortable.
I immediate questions are- does the fasting period get easier? I have been feeling ok, but I find I am a bit preoccupied w/when my fast is over- looking at the clock. THis is probably b/c it is still new to me- but I'm hoping that I don't feel so hungry eventually.
I have also read that IFing can go one way or the other for women. Have you guys (women specifically) been successful w/IFing?
Thanks in advance!
