Ahh, now see I've had the same experience with apheresis and sadly I'll not do that again. I've passed out on two occasions trying to give platelets back when I was on the SAD. First time my body got really cold during the procedure and I just passed out. The second time I started getting cold and I told someone and they all rushed over with blankets but I still passed out!
Donating blood though was a complete non-event. Not even a bruise! But thanks for being a contrarian, Marty. :)

If I recall, I finished donating around the time my eating window would have opened. With platelet donations, it takes about 2 hours on the machine. It was probably 10 minutes after I was done when I passed out. But recovery didn't take long.
