I know I am probably way too late, but last year I donated blood after a whole day of fasting the day before and also the day of the fast. Actually, I had just started a 10 day broth fast and it did not bother me one bit. Hope it works out for you.

Thanks Bert. I watched both of my kids being born via c-section so I'm pretty good with the sight of blood. :) My appointment is 11:45am and the Red Cross is two blocks from work so I'll have a couple of hours afterward before I have to drive.

I'll just chalk this up to my never ending list of self-experimentation. :)
