I actually decided to do fast-5 specifically to have better energy. (I
didn't need to lose any weight).
Digesting is an incredibly tiring process for the body. I read that the
body wasn't designed to digest food all day long. The idea was that
paleolithic people used to gather food/ hunt and then take a big break
from eating. They didn't have food that kept very long.
It took a few weeks for my body to adjust. Now I definitely have more
energy than I did before.
