Thanks, Heather. That's a great idea! I do like variety, but I can be happy with a different heat-up meal each week, along with something different on Friday (my very light class-no work day) and Saturday.

It's odd to have that feeling because I am at my highest weight ever. But I have this sense that I really will be back to normal for me. I didn't feel that way with low carb (even though it reduced my appetite to almost nothing, and I lost weight -- I didn't stick with it because I didn't feel well and it didn't feel right to me).

This is good, because I know I will have all the ingredients to come home and start cooking, which I enjoy. It's also good because my life has been chaotic, and the structure feels good.

I figure this is just an adjustment, as in the past I've gone long periods without food and felt fine. Today, when I was feeling that way, I decided I'd keep my 1:30 or 2:00 eating window again today and phase to 3:00 over the next week or two. But by the time I got to work, got a big glass of water and got busy with a new project, time got away from me, and it was 2:30 before I thought about it. So I just waited until 3.

I plan to make sure I have water with me tomorrow. I don't do caffeine for other health reasons, so coffee is out. I thought I'd mention this issue because of the other newbie who is a nursing student. I'm in law school, so it's important to be on the ball. But I know I'll adjust soon, so it's just short term for me. If I had been used to eating breakfast consistently, I would have done a much more gradual transition. If it's a problem for my afternoon classes, I may need to move my window up. On those days I don't work, so I could eat an earlier dinner. Actually, I may need to have a different window on those days. The days I work, I don't get home until 6:15 or 6:30, so the 3-8 pm works best.
