[fast5] Cream with coffee Re: Success stories

Interesting notion about heavy cream...I didn't realize that it didn't contain milk sugars. I didn't know that was possible! I'll definitely have to switch. Especially as you don't need as much heavy cream to take the bitter out of coffee.

I'm a little confused about one aspect of insulin. How long does it take the body to realize that there isn't glucose around for the insulin to process? I guess it's that I don't understand the mechanism by which insulin leaves the blood when there is no glucose to store.

Or to put it another way, is it really possible for 10 calories worth of glucose to elevate insulin levels for longer than it takes for the body to burn those 10 calories? It must be, or this point wouldn't be emphasized.

I routinely use small amounts of heavy cream in coffee during the fasting period because it has no sugar and doesn't raise insulin in small enough quantities to be used in coffee.

What heavy cream will do however is raise your blood triglycerides so that your body doesn't need to burn as much from your "trouble spots" until the triglycerides from the heavy cream have been used for energy. But since the heavy cream won't raise insulin, it won't lock your fat cells and you'll still be in fat burning mode.
