I just didn't tell anyone. :/ And, well, those that found out, only did so after I already lost 30 lbs, so any naysaying they did was somewhat uncertain.
Once people know, I guess the best response is just a pleasant smile and a "we'll see". If someone seems honestly curious you can always tell them more, but food habits are almost on par with religion/politics for inspiring passion, so it's best to change the subject.
