I can totally relate to your reply. I have started letting myself eat at 2 pm on the weekends but I often feel guilty just the same. I hadn't thought about rationalizing it with a 35 hours a week idea. It is true that I don't use my full 5 hour windows during the week.
The fact is that if I would ALWAYS wait until at least 2 pm I would be doing much better. I was thinking of extending my window of eating for a while and eat from 2:30 pm until 8:30 pm. That is only one hour over. In fact, I am planning to do this this coming week. We have shift change for the custody staff at 2 pm. I work until 4:30. I was going to take my lunch break at 2:30 and have food that I pack and bring into the break room. I bought some high protein yoghurt and low fat granola with some plastic spoons just to do this. With a piece of fruit or not, that is a good enough snack to keep me going.
Now, I planned to do this for the work week. But I still didn't follow the plan this weekend. I started eating at noon both days. (which is better then starting when I first woke up.)

Usually if I make it till 5, I can keep it going to 6 or 7 and then other days I'm dying at 2-3pm and I don't fight it anymore. I aim for 35 hrs per week and eat as healthy as I can without going insane. It's not worth worrying about. Guilt and worry make me hungry so I "fast" from those thoughts too :) A

When I don't do fast 5 on Sat and Sunday, then the first part of the work week is extra challenging. I get cooped up at work and use that as an excuse to take lunch. I don't want to drive somewhere to go for a walk (can't walk in the parking lot and wouldn't want to anyway). So I end up at Subway eating.
