[fast5] Re: I continue to realize the benefits...

This was one of the things that helped me get back on track recently. :) Telling myself "Self, you can either have an X-hour long window, but you'll have to eat only meat and vegetables, OR, you can fast X more hours and I'll let you have as many dark chocolate caramels as you want."

Caramel won every time. :P But it helped me to lengthen my fast back to where it needs to be for me, and once that happens, the desire for the caramels dwindles in a few days.

Sometimes the power of the craving can be harnessed for the greater good. :P

P.S. Oh, and a big :D and thumbs up for you on how well you are doing! It's so great to read people feeling healthy and hopeful.

My mind thinks, "I've gone 16 hrs, 17 hrs already is this (fill in the blanks)doughnut, fruit salad, burger, worth losing the effect on non-insulin release, the other great gains I've made so far all these hours? I usually answer myself back, nope, and that if I wait longer, I can have that thing plus more.
