[fast5] Re: rheumatoid arthritis

You might want to go through your diet with a magnifying glass...gluten can be hiding in many places. Example, do you eat nutritional yeast? It can be grown on barley = gluten.

Another thing to consider is MSG. It causes people lots of problems and goes by many different, unsuspecting names, which you could find a list of on the net. -autolyzed yeast being one, modified corn starch I believe is another one.

You'll figure it out, don't give up the quest!

As a last resort, a longer fast might clean out your system, I've heard of people curing life long migraine issues and stuff with one lengthier fast.

I have done elimination diets hoping to find something else that is causing me problems; elimination of nightshades had no effect; I am currently not doing any dairy (although it causes me no adverse symptoms), and I have eliminated all sugar, including all fruit, to only mild improvement. I have heard about the gin-soaked raisins, they are sitting ready on my countertop, but I am afraid to try them because of the high sugar content. Also, my N.D. said he thought they might help arthritis because they contain MSM, a compound I have already tried.

I don't know what else to do with my diet, except the fast-5, which I'll probably continue even it it doesn't help, since it feels right. Actually I was thinking of going grain-free, unfortunately it feels hard to me, even though the only grains I eat are white rice and rice pasta. I have tried numerous supplements, too many to count, so far nothing has helped. I would love suggestions, though, as I am open to almost anything to stop the pain.
