I have been on Fast-5 since the Nov. 1 and lost about ten lbs from 165 to 155. Whats funny is that the last time I got down to this weight my abs were showing. This time they are not. This time I am lifting more weights too.
I think Fast-5 has been a bit severe for me. I don't eat during the whole window of five hours because I just have dinner and then don't usually eat a meal at ten at night. Sometimes I was having Cottage Cheese at about 8:30, so basically my window was more like 5-8:30.
It dawned on me that maybe I cannot see my abs because I lost weight too fast. The last time I lost weight it was three years ago and I had two eggs for breakfast, peanuts as snacks when necessary, a double cheeseburger or a wendies small chili for lunch and dinner but not overdoing dinner and it took longer to get down to 155 but I could see my abs. So I am thinking because of the faster weight loss, either I lost more muscle or less fat, something like that. And I have been lifting weights more faithfully this time and not overdoing that either.
So I am thinking that maybe an eight hour window would work better for me or a six hour one so that I would have lunch and dinner. Then I should still lose weight but would be able to take in more calories and lose weight a little slower.
What is interesting is that when my scale dips its usually after a cheat day. Yesterday I had two eggs in the morning and a chili and a can of oysters for lunch and then dinner and the scales finally tipped again. I wonder if my body thinks, "OK he is eating so we can shed pounds".
