Glucomannan and Konjac are more or less the same.
"glucomannan" is the polysaccharide that is in Konjac.
Konjac is a root that contains glucomannan. Some
glucomannan is derived from yeast, though I haven't
seen that for retail sale much.
If you take glucomannan/konjac 3x a day, it stabilizes
your blood sugar/cortisol and might allow you to get to
the "don't eat all day" space. What I was finding is that
I was having problems initially from cortisol, and then
from stomach issues relating to ulcers. Anyway, konjac
gets me through both.
Eating more protein the night before is also very
helpful, as others have suggested. And I've cut down
a lot on high-iron foods (beef, white potatoes, enriched
starchy foods) and that helps a lot.
