Kathy,
I break my fast with a full on meal, right there at seven a.m ! :) I have salad and protein, then a treat like dark chocolate, some yogurt, peanut butter smothered on something, or fruit. I've always been a very healthy eater, but I eat too much. It's a portions issue for me, and always has been.
I eat from 7am to noon each day. I am perfectly fine going to bed hungry, and I AM hungry by that time, about nine hours into the fast. I like these hours because I'm a school teacher and daytime fasting after sleeping gives me a headache and tummy ache, and then I'm grouchy with the kids, not cool. I would love to work it into the 5-10 eating window as dinner has its social importance in my life, but for now I just break the fast when I HAVE to have dinner, and limit that to about once a weekend, which is fine. My husband and I just do lunch rather than dinner, he's ok with that.
So I eat from 7am to noon and fast from whatever time lunch ends for me that day to the next a.m.
I do not have an easy time of it as some report, so I'm hungry at that break of fast and LOVE a good, healthy meal which I fully enjoy. then eat one more (smaller, but a meal) at lunch. Snacking leads me all into that processed food, more more more realm I'm trying to get OUT of...but that's me. Everyone's different on here. good luck to you! :)
