In the short term, fasting can lower your metabolism. It comes back up

though. You can eat foods that promote a faster metabolism to help:
coconut oil and protein for instance. But the thing is: as you lose fat,
you lose insulation. So you'll end up needing to wear sweaters more.
Or go running in the snow and train your body to build more "brown fat".
