If you don't exercise, your joints will not have the necessary squeeze they need to have your cartilage feed with nutrients and the result is arthitis, painful joints and so on...
try find a sport you do for pleasure. For me, pr exemple, I love swimming, in the pool. in the sea, when I skeep classes for whatever reason I really miss the pleasure I get from it, the feeling of the water onto my body when I dive in the pool..... Althought I've been swimming daily since aug/2005, it has not done that much for my wight loss....in fact it makes me very hungry after swimming, but I try to drink a LOT OF WATER right afterthe practice and wait till I can eat...
