I have maintained a very large weight-loss (varying within a 10 lb range) for the past 4 years.
Two years ago, in November 2007, I first learned of Fast-5 and read the e-book.
I thought it sounded like a possible way to me for me to better succeed with my primary maintenance diet,
which is usually a combination of Calorie restriction
and Alternate day eating: (a normal-calorie day then a very-low-calorie day).
Since my waking hours are between 4 a.m. and 8 p.m.,
I used 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. as my Fast-5 Window.
As I hoped, the 5 hour Window was helped me succeed
with my primary Way of Eating Plan, (i.e. Calorie restriction and Alternate Day Eating)
however, I found waiting until 2 p.m to eat extremely unpleasant,
I felt extremely Hungry and Cranky at missing my Breakfast and Lunch,
and after following Fast-5 perfectly for 14 days, I stopped.
During the 2 years since that time I've frequently read the Forum comments,
and stayed interested in the Fast-5 concepts.
SO.....
I just finished reading the Fast-5 book again,
and I'm going to take another shot at Fast-5....
....still in combination with my basic maintenance diet Plan,
which at present is one that has been quite successful for me in the past: i.e. my own combination of Calorie Restriction with an Alternate Day Plan.
I am a Morning Person.
Breakfast and Lunch are my favorite meals.
and right now I feel willing to eliminate Dinner to keep them.
This time I'm using a window from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
In that way, I'm just pushing my breakfast back two-and-a-half hours,
and delaying lunch one or two hours.
Yesterday was my first day of doing this,
and since I ate lunch around 2 p.m., I felt just fine until bedtime.
Today, I'm going to try it again.
It is 8 a.m. and I need to wait another hour-and-a-half for Breakfast.
Although I am Very Hungry right now,
I feel Hopeful that I can develop the Habit
of eating only within a Window of 9:30 - 2:30.
