I agree you and with Karen. You may still be losing fat while building muscle, so your weight is unchanged. I also think that a sudden increase in activity (work output + muscle building & repair) may make your hypothalamus (appetite control center) put on the weight-loss brake, saying "Whoa! If this level of demand keeps up, we may need this fuel!" and increase your appetite so it can slow the loss rate or break even on calories.

Once your muscles and your activity are back at a steady state, I expect your hypothalamus will take off the brake and be less greedy about keeping your reserve fuel. Please keep us posted.
