As a former vegetarian and vegan for years, I can attest that for ME, a high plant food diet is not a healthy choice. I was overweight and always hungry on those plans, even though I exercised regularly (and still do). I am so glad that I found the WAPF several years ago and learned about all the nutrients found in animal foods that just can't be found in plant foods. I look and feel so much better now. I eat a paleo diet these days - meat, fish, seaweed and some veg.

We are a diverse group of people following a fast 5 approach within the context of what each of us as individuals finds to be health-promoting. With all due respect, pontificating about a particular kind of diet (like all plant or all animal) is probably about as helpful as trying to convert someone else to your religion (or lack thereof). Food is highly cultural and highly individual. I would hate to see things digress into a contest of whose diet is the "correct" one. Live and let live.

My comment was after having read all the previous posts-I am suprised how many people eat a high animal protein/fat diet. ... I don't want to upset anyone-I just want to encourage people to read the data about animal protein-I would eat it if I had to, but in America-none of us are going hungry and plants=health.
