I switched to low carb Atkins style in 1996 then to low carb Paleo in 2003 and to ZC last year. Some days I eat "normal" amounts but most days I feel I eat a lot – ton of fat actually. I don't have any weight to lose but I am currently maintaining my size although I do hardly any work outs at all. I mow the yard once a week (takes quite a while and is tough to mow due to a slope) and I do a roughly 15 minute weight work out (one set each exercise and mostly lunges, squats, push-ups, pull-ups) etc.
So I would say it is working.
