[fast5] Re: H20

Thanks, Dr. Bert, for this information, which clarifies things for me. As you stated, the best indicator is thirst and a diluted urine concentration. I'll pay attention to these more closely.

One can also drink too much water, so the best answer in my opinion is the usual: Go with what works. The human body has worked for hundreds of thousands of years based on mechanisms that have worked for millions of years. You can trust your body, and trust that you'll be thirsty when you need water.

The difference between a grape and a raisin is water, and as far as your body is concerned, the water you eat is no different than the water you drink. Almost all fruits and vegetables have a great deal of water in them. (If you want more specifics, this table looks like a reasonable survey: http://waltonfeed.com/old/self/h2ocont.html)

I have lost about 5 pounds, have tons more energy, and am finding the hunger I do experience is diminishing and less bothersome by the day. One of the things I like best about it is that I can really see the effect that different foods have on me. For instance, I've learned I need protein at my break-fast in order to keep my body happy. A couple of times I ate sweet carbs first and I felt like I'd been walloped over the head.
