Bodybuilding is more of an aesthetic approach to weight lifting. Size, symmetry, and proportion are the main goals of a bodybuilder. Your right lat and left lat must be the same size and proportion. Quads can't totally dwarf your hamstrings. Back in the golden days of bodybuilding, your neck, arms, and calves should all be the same diameter. I dunno what that crap is that passes for bodybuilding these days, I guess the more 'roids the better.
I like powerlifting in that it's quantifyable. You either make your lift or you don't. It's not left up to a judge to determine who has more striations in his gluteus maximus. ;)
