In my experience it goes away eventually. When you eat
starch it raises your serotonin levels, which make you sleepy.
Also when you aren't digesting food all the time, you don't
need as much sleep. Moving your eating time closer to
bed time might help, or taking a melatonin capsule. Vit C
before bedtime helps too (Vit C is an antihistamine, and
antihistamines make you sleepy). Wearing a sleep mask
helps amazingly too.
I had to move my eating window to EARLIER though, because
I started getting reflux if I went to sleep on a full stomach.
Old age, I guess. Now I just plain don't need as much
sleep, and 6 hours does it. I'm not tired though.
