Extending fasting period for 2 or 3 days could be worth a try for you once in a while, without harm. You'll be in a state of Low Insulin which is great for Fat loss. Don't worry about your metabolism slowing down during fast for several days. Then you can return to your 20 hour daily fasts to find they are now "a breeze" to complete.

Grains, Cereals and other such carbs instead of Fat with your Meat will make you hungry much sooner than sufficient animal fat, which sticks with you far longer.

Gary Taube's latest "Why We Get Fat' helps to explain why all that counting wasn't worth it. Except, to eat so few hi-glycemic carbs that thie number will be close to Zero.

Your fasting will put you in low insulin level, similar to what is attained with Low carb.
