Re: [fast5] Re: Losing too quickly?

not to burst anyone's bubble but until somebody tells me they've lost more than 10 pounds,  i dont usually consider it "real "(as in permanent) weight loss. this is simply based on my own personal experiences with weight loss over the years. i lost weight frequently when i was thin (the first time) even and played around with weight loss a lot my whole life.......

so i consider the first ten pounds to be a lot water related........however, that said, those are an encouraging ten and i had been at points in my life where it seemed like i coudn't even move many to any of those ten at times.......

anyway, i mean you have to lose those first ten too to get to the rest so its not like the water weight doens't count. it's just that the rapidity with which that weight is lost (that first ten) doesn't usually keep happening for most people......

however, i HATE to ever say that to anyone as i want them to feel encouraged and keep on losing.....and sometimes NOT knowing that is what helps some people keep doing what they need to do to get healthy and lose.....

If you would like to track the REAL Fat-loss progress you attain through Fasting...best to drop insignificant digits such as tenths of a pound on scales and instead record your weekly waist size with a tape measure.

Trying to set you up for disappointment which is sure to come if you put too much faith in the water-weight loss you had first week.

When it comes to Fat loss, many variables come into play.

Best to simply keep things simple, by getting your approximate 20 continuous fasting hours per day, where the lowered Insulin levels in long fasting periods will allow fat to be released from your fat cells.

However, I did not expect to lose much of anything for a week or two, then lose at a rate of about a pound a week. I feel sure that things will probably level off very soon, and my weight loss will be near the 1 lb. per week average.
