By 4 or 4:30 I'm pretty uncomfortably hungry. Is this a good thing? If there is a benefit to feeling like this I can keep it up. However, I rarely eat past 7pm, 8 at the latest. Would it make sense to move my window to 4-9pm?

Looks like another "hung up by the book" situation. If you are hungry consistently at 2 PM, that's probably the best time you should be eating your meal. 5 in the name is more "marketing" as Fast -19 would be the most realistic name for it. Eat a big meal around midday with sufficient Fat and moderate Protein to get a meal which will stick with you many, many hours without hunger. Carbs with that meal often makes you hungry sooner.
Don't be afraid of experimenting as personally eating mid-day during one hour is good way for many, fasting for around 23 hours straight per 24 hour day.
That guy can say "Bwahaha" all he wants, but in my opinion food SELECTION can be Very important, and NO I'm not talking about worrying with measuring or counting foods. Simply eat foods which fill you and finding the foods which hold you over best, found through your own experimentation.. eggs, meat and cheese, for example will hold you over much better than a meal of carbs and cereals. Many get health benefits from no-grain. I truly believe food selection will help the most on a hunger issue.
You shouldn't have to feel like you are starving yourself. Eat a meal until full and definitely don't think you have to eat over a 5 hour period. The long continuous fasting period of around 20 hours is what is truly important.
