Both EatStopEat and Fast5 are fasts that allow one to eat every day.
ESE is a 24 hr fast, and F5 is a 19 hr fast. So far, I've tended to go back and forth between them, depending on my circumstances.
ESE is, at most, an alternate day fasting plan, while F5 is a daily fasting plan.
In ESE, one chooses a time..such as 5 p.m. Then one eats all one's food before that time, and then the following day, nothing gets eaten until AFTER 5 p.m. This would be like Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner...zero one day, then zero, zero, dinner after 5 p.m. the following day. In essence, an average person would skip breakfast and lunch...along with all snacking during that time..during the fasting period. The idea is to "EAT LESS" during the 24 hr fasting time, whether it is one day a week, or on alternate days.. Then one must NOT eat "More" on non-fasting days, one must then simply eat normally...which will hopefully be just the amount of one's normal calorie burn...during the non-fasting days.
Fast-5 is eating everything within a 5 hr window every day.
Both F5 and ESE are "intermittent fasting" programs which work to drop weight,IF one eats less calories during the eating periods than one's body burns. Both are simple plans to help restrict calories by limiting eating TIMES instead of counting calories. Both e-books are worth reading, and I've read them both several times. I will say that very much like the EatStopEat e-book, and have found it worth the price. Pilon, the author, is interesting, informed, and has such a solid, no-nononsense approach about eating...i.e just: "Eat Less in a way that one enjoys".
"I was looking at EatStopEat when I came across Fast5."
