i did this once and it turned out that the strips had expiration dates that had elapsed. they posted the dates in the listing - it just didn't occur to me to check this out until after i already bought the item. so, just a warning, in case you care about these things. some people don't seem to care, as long as the dates aren't too far in the past.

I've been checking around and you can pick up the strips for this meter pretty cheaply on eBay.
