Hi all..
I have done lots of (fun) experimenting with this way of life and have successfully found what works for me...it's a matter of taking notes and being aware, as every body's different and what works for you can be an "idea' for me, but often is not the same outcome. I do enjoy reading here different things that affect/help/hinder the process so that I can be cognizant of them.
There is one more hurdle I need to jump (well, two) for this to be the PERFECT plan for me.
Number one is I need to try to alter my window for social events. I have been totally, completely unable do fast during the day. I am a schoolteacher and the energy that entails just makes it hell. Have tried it several times, but my window is 7-noon which works BEAUTIFULLY for me. however, if I have a dinner engagement one night, I have yet to find a way to effectively alter for it.
I have learned so far to just eat very very lightly at that meal and then go to ONE meal after 19 hours instead of a five hour window. ONE meal the next day and fast for 19 more. Throws hrs off some, but can adjust back to what is comfortable for me.
Anybody else have ways they alter their window without going off plan? I would absolutely love to hear that.
Second hurdle is I would LOVE to make my feeding window 3-8, and then would NEVER have to alter the window much for social issues, excpet the occassional lunch. But I just CANT fast during the day. I get incredible headaches and nausea, but not so when I've fed my body for the first few hours of waking. I think it'd be sO much easier to skip breakfast and lunch than dinner...no one would say a WORD (these naysayers are soo annoying) if I said, "I don't really eat breakfast" but if I say "I skip dinner" there's a big ole call to arms!
Anyway, any any any ideas for these two hurdles would be GREAT. If I could find a way to deal with hurdle number one, I probably wouldn't need to dEAL with hurdle number two, now would I?
