[fast5] Re: Tricks to help not eat outside of the window

Drinking water has been suggested here before. (There is a thread on this which a search should find.)

It is one of those really simple ideas that is actually quite powerful.

I notice the same thing about exercise. On the weekends, when I can remain active throughout the day, it is generally much easier for me to F5. Sometimes at (office) work, a pre-occupation with food (I forget, somatic or limbic hunger ?) can pop up more readily.

One of the tweaks I've been utilizing is not sweating too much if the window is not "exactly" 5 hours. I realize this can be a "slippery slope," but I think a long term approach requires some degree of "gentle-with-oneself" flexability.

The flip side is that some days, the window is much shorter than 5 hours with minimal effort.

Good Luck !

So if my eating window opens at 5:00 and I am hungry at 4:00, if I start cooking something that takes an hour.... somehow knowing that the food is started cooking helps calm me down. This doesn't work if the recipe needs that you taste the food as you are cooking. Am I right, once you taste the food your eating window begins....
