Since I had exercised my whole life on an empty stomach the first time someone ever suggested eating on a hike I was freaked out . (and still don’t’ do it, although I take nuts on hikes, just in case, but I never ever use them)
My whole theory on the exercise thing has always been that the body needs to just only send blood to the rest of the body during exercise. I don’t want to eat before or during exercise (like a hike) because then the stomach needs more blood for digesting.......
At age 12 I started getting up at 5 to work out and became obsessed with it pretty much back then, so that’s the mind set I’m coming from and what has stayed with me throughout my life
Chantelle
Ps-interesting too what you said Tamara. If I have something important going on that’s always when I definitely don’t eat. It’s like ican’t take my focus off that thing to be bothered with eating...... If I’m concerned about issues I’ll carry protein in my purse “just in case”, which pretty much I never end up using the small portions of things I carry in my purse, but they have been nice “insurance” at times so I didn’t have to towrry if I was going to need something I couldn’t’ get to.....

I was afraid to exercise on an empty stomach, afraid I would pass out or something but it's totally fine. LOL It will get easier as time goes on. I like the feeling of an empty stomach now.
