The main culprit in weight gain is insulin. If you eat "a lot of fruit through the evening" that is most likely causing your blood sugar to spike which will cause insulin to be excreted. Whatever is in excess will be stored in your fat cells. The first thing I personally would do is cut out all fruit. I also saw your other post about still craving carbs. If you cut out the fruit and stick to just low starch veggies, those cravings will go away after 2 to 3 days. If you go to ZC it would be even more effective.

Well I always have meat with lots of veg then usually munch my way through a lot of fruit through the evening. I know my portion sizes are probably a bit larger than they should be but my meal is not huge. I assumed as I wasnt eating for 19 hours that wouldnt make too much difference.
