Hi Lynn, I had to work up to the 19 hour fast. I was having the same problem with my blood sugar dropping low during the fasting time, but I was determined to continue with fast5 because it has worked so well for me. I am so gratefull. Now that I have stuck to fast5 my blood sugar has been in a good range during 19-20 hours fasting and at one hour and two hours after eating in fact my readings have be great. I do eat low carb and am mostly grain free and control my protein and high purine foods. My body took time to lower the insulin in my blood so my sugar doesn't go to low. I hope that my body is repairing itself from the insulin resistance. Getting plenty of sleep in the begining helps. I found for me walking around when my blood sugar is low helps bring it up a bit. Ease into the fast. Anything that you consume can affect your blood sugar even 0 carb. Good luck, Sharron --- On Tue, 6/9/09, Lynn <lyn122@yahoo.com> wrote:
