Last year at this time, I was eating a vegetarian diet, making fruit/green smoothies. I even bought a VitaMix in hopes to turn my kids on to consuming more of these good things.
but no go. If i didnt drink what they didnt like (most of it), i'd have to dump it.
I just got tired of building so many different kinds and someone always complaining about something: one didnt like bananas, one didnt like pineapple. it was awful. so i gave up.
Victoria Boutenkos book on Green Smoothies is fantastic. You really can put whole handfuls of spinach and other greens into the smoothie and the fruit totally disguises the taste. The kids don't even suspect they're being given veggies :-)
