Rick - I so appreciate your write-up here as this insulin/blood sugar talk
still makes my head spin.
I've yet to reread all of Fast5 ebook but are you saying that, eventually,
'they' will be able to eat the truffles/cheese cake (fasting will help
adjust blood sugar/insulin...) or that they SHOULDN'T eat the
truffles/cheesecake?
It also makes me need to go back over what I'm eating to see if this is
happening in me...
Yesterday, I was like in a coma (falling asleep while reading to DD). I'd
had, at 7am, post-WO, my protein shake (whey) w/2 oz cream, half a rice cake
(7g carbs) and butter. At 8am, I had 2 eggs with cheese and chicken broth
with butter. This was 47g Pro, 64g fat and 15g carbs. The 'coma' hit me
about 11am

One AWESOME effect of Fast-5 and calorie restriction in general is that this
insulin sensitivity tends to reverse itself over time. By eating less food
and allowing the body 19 hours to rest, your cells start "listening" for
insulin again which eases the burden on your pancreas, thus lowering insulin
levels in general.
