I would just add to be aware of your response to eating fruits by themselves. That can make many people hungrier. That was always the case for me. I never understood it, because they were supposed to be such a healthy snack. But anytime I tried it, I found myself just having to eat a lot more food very soon after. Now I realize that many whole fruits contain a lot of sugar and that all my life I have been very sugar sensitive. YMMV, but it helps to realize that we are all different and you may do better with just raw veggies if you try this way of transition.

I agree. I did the Warrior Diet in the past (the name comes from a book by that name). It's a very easy "diet", and makes an easy transition to Fast-5. In fact, a lot of people doing the Warrior Diet seem to drop the raw fruits and vegies during the day, just because they forget to eat them. Raw fruits and vegies don't have a huge impact on insulin if they are whole (don't do juices: one cup of juice equals a lot of fruit!). And it's easy to put an apple or a banana in a bag to take to work. Meat is allowed too, in limited quantities, and it can be helpful, esp. if you are under stress. I used to have a big salad for lunch, with a little smoked salmon on top and some vinegar dressing.
