Hi all~ I'd like some advice & some much needed input..

A friend~ has recently convinced me to try a Low-Fat, Raw-Vegan approach for roughly three-months or so~ (which I don't mind, because I honestly love fresh raw fruit & veggies)

The catch is~ She wants me do this mono-meal style! Only one food (as much as you want in quantiy) for that meal... which from what I've attained is to help my body.. digestion wise.

My problem is~ I love Intermittent Fasting! (3:00pm - 8:00pm) in where I eat just my One Big meal~ (no more, no less) between the set time of my eating window... So my question is~ would the mono-meal be okay?

Ok I'm a raw foodist and it's definitely possible to combine it with Fast 5. In fact a lot of raw foodists recommend only eating 2 meals a day which is easily done in a 5 hour window. I'm not convinced you'd be able to sustain it for very long on just one meal but everyone is different so you might find it worked. Paul Nison (you can google for his blog and videos) is one who recommends no more than 2 meals. He's written a good book on the subject - The Daylight Diet.

There's a good video here

About a woman who lost a lot of weight raw fooding. Dan the Liferegenerator (it's his video) posts regularly to you tube, He does a lot of juicing but has other good info as well.

Kevin Gianni also has a blog and regularly videos. At his website

you can also download a free copy of his book High raw which has a lot of good info.

As far as the monomeals go, it's not something I've ever really got into longterm, (I do them occasionally - they certainly are easy on the digestion) but many people do it for a while to help detox. I, personally wouldn't want to do it longterm but again that's up to you.

Green smoothies are superb and although a good blender (I sold my soul to get a Vitamix :-) does make them easier you can manage with almost anything. My first ones were done with a cheap stick blender 'cos that's all I had. If you want any further info feel free to email me. I've loads of resources, ebooks, websites, booklists etc.

Good luck
Kirsteen
