Re: [fast5] Mono-Meals? In desperate need of advice, Please!

I've done the raw food thing for 8 years.  I had excellent results....I quit it because of family interference not because it wasn't working.  I don't understand why people fear something someone else is doing but not expecting others to do.  It just amazes me.

I noticed someone below said that they had symptoms of light headedness.   That's the result of not doing it correctly and not eating enough.  I never had that myself.

As far as the mono diet aspect is concerned...That is an excellent option.  There are some Tibetan Monks who eat a mono diet and they attribute their youthful appearance and strength to this mono way of eating. The difference between these Monks diet and the raw and living food diet is that their food was cooked and they did eat bread, cheese, and butter.  They say the only thing that you can add to your mono meals is butter.  It goes with everything.  The name of the book that I'm referring to is, Five Tibetan Rites.  It is mostly a book on yoga but it also goes into diet as well.  Below is a link to the book.

Hi all~ I'd like some advice & some much needed input..

A friend~ has recently convinced me to try a Low-Fat, Raw-Vegan approach for roughly three-months or so~ (which I don't mind, because I honestly love fresh raw fruit & veggies)

The catch is~ She wants me do this mono-meal style! Only one food (as much as you want in quantiy) for that meal... which from what I've attained is to help my body.. digestion wise.

My problem is~ I love Intermittent Fasting! (3:00pm - 8:00pm) in where I eat just my One Big meal~ (no more, no less) between the set time of my eating window... So my question is~ would the mono-meal be okay?

Take for example... (& because I wasn't sure-- yet promised anyhow) I feasted on a whole bag of sweet-juicy fresh mandarins (which was absolutely yummy~ & satisfying) and tomorrow, I'll break my fast with another type of variety of raw vegetables or fruit.

So.. would it be okay to do this? or will I have to give up my Intermittent fasting? I shall also mention that I'm taking Multi-vitamins~ (just in case) & will be adding Green Smoothies into the mix-- Once I can afford a decent blender.

Much appreciatted if you could help me with my dilema~

Thanks.
