It's not many calories, but I need to limit intake because I wish to lose 2 pounds/week.  I am considering increasing the calories soon because I am reaching a weight that I can be happy with as I lose weight more slowly.  To answer your questions, yes, I am hungry for brief periods but I simply endure it.  Hunger is not a fatal condition, after all.  And no, I do not ever feel low on energy despite eating only one time every 24 hours.  My hands do not tremble, I am not woozy or spacey, and my blood sugar is normal.

This plan does go against all conventional wisdom.  I appreciate your concern -- it is shared by my doctor, my new personal trainer, and almost all the books on diet and nutrition that I've ever read.  But I will not abandon intermittent fasting because it works for me.

That doesn't seem like very many calories. Isn't that going to slow down your metabolism over time? Are you hungry at all? Low on energy?
