Hi all..
here's something for you all to toss around (I love throwing these things out there and letting you all with more experience than me have AT it...)
When I begain F5, I could NOT fast during the day and keep the more common 5-10 window. I couldn't even do 2-7 or 3-8 or ANY of those...I was absolutely headachy, pained, nauseous and tormented through the daytme fasts.
I switched to am window (8-12 or so) and was FINE. I get hungry at night and it passes, then when I wake up it's almost like starting over. THe hunger is gone upon waking and then some coffee staves it off more til break time, around 7 or 8am....
Now I need to swtich to eating dinner for this weekend, Friday to Wed due to social obs.
I am thinking (hoping) that I'm so used to the fasts now (three months?) that I can do them. I do 20/4 and will move it to 19/5 for this adjustment and see if I can do this. Like I said, in the past, daytime fasting has NOT been ok with my body.
Does anyone else have EASE with some hours and just H-E-double-hockey-sticks with other hours? even when foods and numbers of hours remain the same?
I do know higher fat/protein will help (and didnt' know that before when I tried). I also know some other things I didn't know before:
that hunger is NOT an emergency (smile...learned that on here..love it)
That I can work out in a full blown fast. Hard. I can work out HARD...learned that through experience
And that there will be no fainting, no puking, no comas from a 19 or 20 hr fast. It's not that serious. It's perfectly ok with my body, in fact, my system LOVES it...
So, I've been avoiding dinner, basically, for three months. Very tricky on the social schedule, but people don't notice at a party type setting, but going out to dinner is HARD. Gotta eat. So, I'm ready for the challenge of switching hours.
Anyone else experience this difficulty with TIMING of the fasts?
Thanks
