The food that has the most satiation, in my experience, is *fish*. Esp. fatty fish, whole. The fish oils are very good for you, but there is something about the protein that works too. Eggs, ditto. I think those two foods have the best protein/fat types for human beings ... also for animals, if you are raising say, young parrots or chicks.
Just avoid the large sea-going top-of-the-food chain fish, like tuna. Those are the ones that tend to concentrate toxins and heavy metals.
My meals now tend to consist of fried fish or shrimp and green vegies (fried in about 2 tbl of coconut oil), plus sometimes a fried egg or two, over steamed white rice. My meals just sort of evolved there: but I feel really GOOD after my meal and not too stuffed, and have a lot of energy. It's not low carb OR low fat, but it works, and it seems to be one of the things that got me off the "weight loss plateau".

hi all..
Been on fast five about two months or so...love love love it. Every single benefit mentioned on this site I"ve seen. I also tend to overeat in my window, but not that often and I'm just wondering if anyone has a tip for foods that you break your fast with that might curtail appetite or lead to less insulin spikes. I've just started trying meat and fat...like turkey dipped in some mayo (no bread) or some other meat and then wait a bit and then eat? I'm not sure (so new to trying this) but think it might be helping
Any tricks of the trade with regard to breaking the fast? THanks. I love this forum. Your guys' messages are so helpful!
