[fast5] Re: Are you following a diet plan?

Just another opinion on the metformin: I love it. If I miss a day I crave carbs all day long (I assume my insulin levels are higher.) But I'm not surprised it messes some people up - hormones are very confusing! I really don't understand how it works. I have been told it lowers insulin levels, but I have also read its main action is on the liver, lowering the amount of glucose we make ourselves. So even though I have done a decent amount of research on diabetes/insulin/carbs, I stand confused. :-)
I do (sometimes just attempt to do) paleo and fast-5. On paleo I maintain my weight well (not a small thing, as I have lost 70 lbs and my body is just itching to gain it back.) On fast-5 I lose, about a lb a week. I am currently going on the HCG diet, to jump start the weight loss. I am fast-5ing while I do it (basically a very low-cal diet w/ daily injections of HCG.) I am also staying paleo on it ( w/ the HCG diet you can eat miniscule amounts of milk and melba toast, so I am not doing those.) I have found it easier this time b/c of fast-5. Before I was spreading my food through the day, now I try to just eat in my window.
