[fast5] Re: What do you do when you're sick?

Thanks to you all! I persevered and stuck to my fast. I didn't even have a cough drop, although did chew on a piece of peppermint gum earlier. I've been drinking a lot of hot tea and it's helping. When I get home from work I plan to impliment your other suggestions, thank you! I'm not even close to hungry, I think when I get home I'll try some chicken broth or soup.

Rick: It's been dreary here and much colder than usual. In fact, we're supposed to get snow tomorrow if you can believe that!

Heather and Rick: Where would I find Olive Leaf Extract/Tea? At a natural foods type of store? Or did you buy yours online somewhere?

Cold and flu season happens when the sun gets weak and people stay in the house because of the cold weather. Cold and flu viruses are with us year round, but lack of sunlight in the colder months or climates make us weak and vulnerable to viruses. We evolved over time to live in the sun. Recent studies show that up to 75% of people are vitamin D deficient during the winter months. Without adequate amounts of Vitamin D our immune system becomes very weak and can't fight it's way out of a wet paper bag. I put this theory to the test this winter and fed myself, my wife, and my two young boys copious quantities of vitamin D every day. Not one of us got sick this year. Not once! I like Heather's idea of laying out in the sun. Try to get at least 15 minutes of sunlight per day. Short of that, cod liver oil rocks.
