I suspect there are benefits with any type of fasting to varying degrees.
On my eating day now after trying a week of Alternate Day fasting with 2 36 hour fasting days separated by a day of a couple of meals throughout day, I'm about ready to go "home" to my comfortable Fast-1 One meal a day with 23 hours worth of fasting every day.
I imagine that efficiency is higher with 24-36 hour fasts of Alternate Day, but Fast-5 is very Comfortable, with sufficient "efficiency".
