Hi Cathy,
I have not been a member of this group very long. I signed up recently as a lurker to try and help me with my own crusade to lose weight.
I don't exactly follow the "Fast-5" plan as far as I understand it, but, it is close to what I have been doing since the start of this year. Since I started I have lost over 50 lbs. and this has been very encouraging. I have not been regularly weighing myself because I find that when I do, I notice that the "fluctuations" can start to play on me psychologically.
I find that the most difficult thing to do on this diet is to stay focused on the task and try and eliminate the battle that seems to brew in one's mind. Removing food from most of my daily activities has left a void in my psyche that I find must be filled in other ways. This is not an easy task and I don't need the help of a bathroom scale to cause my head to fill with thoughts that do not keep me uplifted and positive as I trudge forward in my new "lifestyle".
I hope this helps you.
Rob
