Thanks!
I'm not an expert. I do like to pass on info when I can. "What goes
around comes around" and all that.
As for weight loss ... I lost 35 lbs the first time I did it. 2nd
time, not so much. But my issues are very, very different and I'm not
really working on weight loss. If I was, I'd get some *exercise* which
I very much need! My reasons for doing this have to do with unresolved
digestion issues and arthritis and blood glucose levels. And this
constant hunger I used to feel that led me to keep gaining weight.
THOSE issues are pretty much resolved in F5. I've been doing it mostly
for about 2 years (with occasional breaks). Mostly at this point it is
a lifestyle or habit.
I really wouldn't worry about magnitude of weight loss. If you look at
a lb of pure lard ... it is BIG. Fat is very lightweight. It's the
water that weighs, and you might not lose much of that on F5, because
there isn't so much glycogen depletion and dehydration (which I think
is what happens on some diets). Also if you work out you get "denser"
which throws off the numbers. Like I said, my dd, is overweight if you
look at the charts, but if you look at her while she is swimming she
looks like Diana the archer.
IF has been shown to have very good health effects aside from weight
loss, in any case. It's a good habit ... it saves your money, saves
your health. Work on getting the body you want, making it healthy,
flexible, strong. Don't worry about the scale too much, is my general
opinion.

I do wonder with the eating less, why our bodies don't drop the weight faster. By doing Fast-5 (which so far, is great.... I actually love fasting... it's easy for me and helps me get my mind off calories, what to eat, how much, what combinations, etc) it seems I will be cutting out quite a bit of calories (like 2 meals worth) and seems a 1 -2 lb a week weight loss is small potatoes... but I suppose time will tell.
