[fast5] I almost gave up on Fast-5!

Fast-5 has worked well for me for about 5 months. Then, last month I went 14 days at the same weight or higher -- despite eating low calorie every single day and only within my FF window. I decided to put Fast-5 on "academic probation." That is to say, I decided that if I did not lose 1% of my current body in the coming week, PLUS 1% of my body weight for each of the weeks I was on the plateau, I would switch my diet plan. I was considering Atkins, and dreading it because what good is an egg without toast & marmalade, after all?

Well, I'm happy to say that Fast-5 came through, as it always had before. I lost 4 pounds in 7 days, bringing me right back "on chart."

By the way, I'm one of the few Fast-5ers who needs to lose a LOT of weight. I was morbidly obese at 298 pounds last September. Today I'm still obese, but not morbidly, at 221 in February. I'll do the math for you: that's 77 pounds in 5.5 months. I'm 68 years old and live a sedentary lifestyle; no exercise to speak of.

I eat one delicious meal a day, enjoy the hell out of it, and that's it. I eat anything I'm in the mood for, but only until I'm full. Then no other meals until tomorrow, same time, same station.

I'm so grateful to Fast-5 that I made a small donation today. I will repeat this every 6 months for as long as I remain on this lifestyle, which I hope will be for a long time.
